Mr. Neufeld is an AV-rated attorney who has specialized in complex litigation and trials for over 30 years, and has represented large public companies, privately held companies, public entities, and individuals in both state and federal courts.

His representation of large public companies, privately held companies and individuals has included cases focused on such diverse business issues as fraud and employment matters, breach of contract, real estate, construction, trade secrets and unfair competition. His recent experience includes obtaining both a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction on behalf of a large privately held company in a trade secrets and unfair competition case, and the successful trial prosecution of a case for specific performance on a contract for the sale of a large commercial real estate property near downtown Los Angeles on behalf of a public company.

His representation of public entities has included the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission, for which he handled all construction litigation arising from the building of the Blue Line Railway from Long Beach to Los Angeles; the City of Rancho Mirage, for which he handled a high profile federal case against AT&T Wireless; and the City of Redondo Beach, for which he has handled complex litigation pertaining to a major leasehold in the City’s harbor. In addition, Mr. Neufeld has handled complex business transactions and negotiations for many of the same clients for whom he has provided litigation services, and he serves as outside general counsel to several large privately held companies headquartered in Southern California.

Prior to founding his own law firm, Mr. Neufeld was both an associate and partner for twenty-five years at Richards, Watson & Gershon, where he served as the Chair of its Litigation Department for many years and as the Chair of the firm.

Mr. Neufeld graduated with honors with a major in history from Brown University in 1969. He then was selected for the highly competitive Naval Officer Candidate School (OCS). Upon graduation from OCS and the Naval Supply Corps School, Mr. Neufeld served for two years as a Naval Supply Officer aboard an aircraft carrier. In 1975, he graduated from Boston University Law School, where he was the director of the school’s moot court program. While in law school, Mr. Neufeld clerked for a United States Bankruptcy Judge.

Mr. Neufeld has been recognized by his peers with the coveted honor of an “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell – the highest rating possible – and has also been honored by Thomson Reuters as a Super Lawyer from 2007-2010.
